Article Types and Editorial Standards Policy
Accepted Scholarly Article Types
Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present original findings, theoretical arguments, legal interpretations, or evidence-based analyses that contribute meaningfully to scholarly knowledge.
The journal welcomes original research using appropriate approaches, including:
-
Normative and doctrinal legal research.
-
Empirical and socio-legal research.
-
Comparative legal analysis.
-
Qualitative research and case studies.
-
Interdisciplinary studies of Islamic law and legal ethics.
-
Theoretical and conceptual legal research.
Original Research Articles must clearly explain the research problem, objectives, relevant literature, methodology, analysis, findings, and conclusions.
The manuscript must demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution and appropriate engagement with primary legal materials, relevant academic literature, or empirical evidence.
All Original Research Articles are subject to initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review involving at least two independent reviewers.
Scholarly Review Articles
Scholarly Review Articles provide a critical and systematic examination of existing academic literature, legal doctrines, theoretical developments, or significant scholarly debates.
Review articles must go beyond descriptive summaries and demonstrate critical synthesis, conceptual insight, or an identifiable contribution to the field.
Depending on their objectives, review articles may employ systematic, scoping, integrative, or other clearly explained scholarly review approaches.
Authors must describe the scope of the review, the basis for selecting relevant sources, and the analytical approach used to develop their conclusions.
All Scholarly Review Articles are subject to the same independent double-blind peer-review standards applied to Original Research Articles.
Editorial and Non-Research Content
Antmind Review may publish editorial notices or other non-research materials when necessary for journal administration, academic communication, or the integrity of the scholarly record.
Such materials may include:
-
Editorial announcements.
-
Corrections and errata.
-
Expressions of concern.
-
Retraction notices.
-
Other official publication-integrity statements.
These materials are assessed and authorized through appropriate editorial procedures and are not automatically subject to external peer review.
Non-research content must be clearly identified by its publication type and must not be represented as independently peer-reviewed research unless the relevant review process has actually been completed.
Editorial notices and publication-integrity statements are not substitutes for original scholarly research articles.
General Editorial Standards
All scholarly manuscripts submitted to Antmind Review must meet the journal's academic, methodological, and ethical requirements.
Originality and Scholarly Contribution
Manuscripts must present original research, meaningful theoretical development, critical analysis, or new interpretations of relevant legal and ethical issues.
Previously published findings or arguments must be properly acknowledged, and substantial duplicate publication is not permitted.
Relevance to the Journal's Scope
Submitted manuscripts must contribute to discussions of Islamic law, Sharia, legal ethics, or closely related interdisciplinary topics.
Manuscripts outside the journal's aims and scope may be declined during initial editorial screening.
Methodological Rigor
Authors must clearly explain the research methods or analytical approaches used.
For normative legal research, the selection and interpretation of legal materials must be transparent and academically justified.
For empirical research, authors must provide sufficient methodological information concerning data collection, analysis, and relevant ethical considerations.
Academic Writing and Presentation
Manuscripts must be clearly structured, logically argued, and written in professional academic language.
Authors must follow the journal's official manuscript template, citation style, and Author Guidelines.
All references must be accurate, relevant, and verifiable.
Research Ethics and Integrity
Submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal's policies concerning plagiarism, authorship, competing interests, research ethics, data availability, and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their scholarly contributions.
Editorial Screening and Peer Review
All submitted scholarly articles undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance, originality, methodological suitability, presentation quality, and compliance with the journal's requirements.
Manuscripts meeting the initial standards proceed to independent double-blind peer review involving at least two qualified reviewers.
Reviewers assess scholarly originality, research methods, theoretical contribution, analytical quality, ethical compliance, and the reliability of research findings.
Following peer review, manuscripts may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected.
The Editor-in-Chief or an authorized independent editor makes the final publication decision based on scholarly merit and the available assessments.
A manuscript's submission or progression to peer review does not guarantee acceptance.
Manuscript Preparation and Submission Requirements
Authors must prepare manuscripts in accordance with the journal's current Author Guidelines and official manuscript template.
The Author Guidelines specify the applicable requirements for manuscript structure, word limits, abstracts, keywords, references, tables, figures, and other formatting matters.
Manuscripts must contain sufficient information to enable readers and reviewers to understand the research objectives, methods, findings, and scholarly contribution.
Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal's official Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
All authors must approve the submission and provide the required ethical and publication declarations.
The journal may request revisions or supporting documentation when necessary to evaluate manuscript quality or research integrity.
