Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern Policy

Antmind Review is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The journal addresses errors and ethical concerns identified after publication through corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, depending on their nature and severity.

1. Corrections

Corrections are issued when published articles contain significant errors that do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions.

These may include errors in data presentation, author information, references, or other essential details.

Corrections will be clearly identified, published transparently, and linked to the original article.

2. Retractions

Articles may be retracted when their findings are unreliable or when serious publication-integrity issues are identified, including:

  • Plagiarism or substantial duplicate publication.

  • Data fabrication or falsification.

  • Serious methodological errors that invalidate the findings.

  • Unethical research practices or manipulated peer review.

Retraction decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief following an appropriate assessment and consideration of the authors' responses.

Retracted articles will remain accessible whenever possible, clearly marked as "Retracted", and linked to an official retraction notice explaining the reasons.

3. Expressions of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be issued when credible concerns arise regarding a published article but the available evidence is insufficient to justify a retraction or an investigation remains unresolved.

The notice will explain the concerns and be linked to the original publication.

When the investigation is concluded, the journal will determine whether further action, such as correction, retraction, or withdrawal of the concern, is necessary.

4. Investigation and Editorial Responsibility

Authors, readers, and other stakeholders may report publication errors or suspected misconduct to the Editorial Office.

The journal will:

  • Review the evidence objectively and confidentially.

  • Give the authors an opportunity to respond.

  • Consult relevant experts or institutions when necessary.

  • Determine appropriate editorial action based on the available evidence.

  • Publish a clear notice when post-publication action is required.

The purpose of these procedures is to protect the scholarly record rather than to punish authors.

5. Article Removal

Published articles will not ordinarily be removed from the journal's website, including when retracted.

Removal may be considered only in exceptional circumstances involving legal requirements, serious privacy violations, or substantial risks to public safety.

Where removal is necessary, the journal will preserve the bibliographic record and publish an explanatory notice whenever legally permissible.
