Post-Publication Discussion and Debate Policy

Antmind Review: Journal of Sharia and Legal Ethics, published by Antmind Youth Empower Foundation, is committed to promoting constructive academic dialogue, critical scholarly engagement, and the continuous evaluation of published research.

The journal recognizes that scholarly discussion does not end with publication. Academic criticism, alternative interpretations, methodological observations, and evidence-based responses contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the integrity of the scholarly record.

Antmind Review encourages responsible post-publication discussions concerning articles published in the journal, particularly those addressing Islamic law, Sharia, legal ethics, comparative law, and interdisciplinary legal studies.

All post-publication discussions must uphold academic integrity, professional ethics, intellectual openness, and respect for differing scholarly perspectives.

Post-Publication Discussion and Scholarly Debate

Readers, researchers, and other members of the academic community may submit scholarly comments, critical responses, or requests for clarification concerning published articles.

Appropriate contributions may include:

  • Constructive criticism of research methodologies, interpretations, or conclusions.

  • Alternative theoretical, doctrinal, or legal perspectives supported by relevant evidence.

  • Clarification of legal arguments, concepts, or scholarly interpretations.

  • Identification of significant factual inaccuracies or methodological limitations.

  • Scholarly responses that contribute meaningfully to ongoing academic debates.

The journal welcomes different academic perspectives, provided that arguments are presented objectively, respectfully, and supported by appropriate scholarly evidence.

Critical disagreement with published findings does not, by itself, constitute research misconduct or justify the correction or retraction of an article.

Submission and Editorial Assessment

Post-publication comments and scholarly responses should be submitted to the Editorial Office through the journal's official contact channel.

Submissions should clearly identify the article concerned, including its title, authors, publication details, and DOI where available.

Contributors should provide their names, institutional affiliations where applicable, and a clear explanation of the issues they wish to raise.

The Editorial Office will assess the relevance, academic substance, clarity, and appropriateness of the submission.

The journal may request clarification, supporting references, or revisions before determining whether a response is suitable for further consideration.

The submission of a post-publication comment does not guarantee its publication.

Where a substantive scholarly response is considered suitable for publication, it may be processed as a Letter to the Editor, Commentary, or another clearly identified scholarly response, subject to the journal's applicable editorial assessment and review procedures.

Such contributions will not be represented as independently peer-reviewed unless they have undergone the required peer-review process.

Authors' Right to Respond

Authors of published articles may be invited to respond to substantive academic criticism or requests for clarification concerning their work.

The journal supports fair opportunities for authors to explain their research methods, clarify interpretations, provide additional evidence, or respond to alternative scholarly perspectives.

Author responses should address the relevant academic issues objectively and respectfully.

The Editorial Office may facilitate an exchange of scholarly responses when it contributes meaningfully to academic discussion.

The journal reserves the right to conclude a discussion when further correspondence does not provide substantial scholarly value.

Academic Integrity and Responsible Communication

All participants in post-publication discussions must maintain professional standards of academic communication.

The journal does not accept comments or responses containing:

  • Personal attacks, harassment, threats, or discriminatory statements.

  • Unsupported allegations presented as established facts.

  • Deliberately misleading information or fabricated evidence.

  • Unauthorized disclosure of confidential or personal information.

  • Defamatory statements or other content that violates applicable laws or publication ethics.

Scholarly criticism must focus on the content, evidence, methodology, and academic arguments of the published work rather than the personal characteristics of its authors.

The journal may decline or discontinue consideration of submissions that fail to meet these standards.

Research Integrity Concerns and Corrections

Post-publication discussions may occasionally identify errors, inconsistencies, or concerns regarding the reliability of published research.

When a submission raises credible concerns about plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, unethical research, or other serious publication-integrity issues, the matter will be referred to the appropriate editorial procedure.

Such concerns will be addressed in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics Policy and Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern Policy.

Where necessary, the journal may request additional information from the authors, consult independent experts, or contact relevant institutions.

Depending on the evidence and circumstances, appropriate editorial action may include clarification, correction, expression of concern, or retraction.

The purpose of these procedures is to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record while ensuring fair treatment of all parties involved.

Editorial Independence and Transparency

All decisions concerning post-publication discussions are made independently of financial interests, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, and external pressures.

Editors involved in assessing scholarly responses must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and withdraw from handling matters where their impartiality could reasonably be questioned.

Accepted post-publication contributions will be clearly identified according to their publication type.

Where applicable, published responses and related editorial notices will be linked to the original article to help readers understand the scholarly discussion and any subsequent developments.

The journal is committed to preserving a transparent and reliable record of significant scholarly exchanges.
